A Narrative Exploration of the Art Therapy Experience of an Adolescent in a Single Parent Family

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore how an adolescent in a single parent famolyexplore and understand their emotions and develop and change their inner feelings in the art therapy process through textile quilting media. A participant in the study is a child of a single parent family who in second grade of middle school. This study lasted about 3 months. After finishing regular school classes every Monday and Wednesday, 15 sessions were conducted to collect data. After receiving consent from the research participants, they performed recordings, observation journals, works of art, and interviews each time. Inquiry proceeded as a method of narrative inquiry among qualitative research methods. The researcher's perceived emotions were recorded by constructing works of art, conversation materials, research journals, field observations, and interviews on art therapy activities. The narrative exploration was carried out. As a result, the theme consists of four stories of experience, the theme of which is 'the body tells the child's situation', 'to meet the quilt of what he wants in art therapy', and 'quilt, the meeting of needle, thread and cloth'.Immerse yourself in ',' Immersion frees the mind. 'The results of the study were derived from the topics. This research was a process in which art therapy was the key to respecting the client's choice, and the art therapist realized the importance of the basic treatment of the client in the process of accommodating the client.
